Our 7-step interior decorating process is designed to be calm, transparent, and exciting. We take care of every detail—from measuring your room to hunting estate sales and fluffing the final throw pillow.

Discovery Call (Complimentary)
A relaxed 20-minute phone call to learn about your home, the rooms you want to decorate, your budget range, and what you love. If we are a great mutual fit, we schedule the in-home consultation.
In-Home Consultation
We visit your Kansas City home for a 60-to-90-minute working session. We measure your rooms, assess natural lighting, discuss how your family lives in the space, and catalog heirloom pieces you wish to incorporate. The consultation fee is credited directly toward your design agreement.
Design Agreement & Retainer
We send a clear, straightforward agreement outlining the project scope, design fees (starting at $2,500 per room), and furnishings budget. Once signed and the retainer is received, your project is officially on our design calendar.
Concept Presentation & Revisions
We present customized 2D design mood boards, spatial floor plans, fabric swatches, color palettes, and fixture concepts. We include two rounds of collaborative revisions to ensure every element aligns with your personal taste.
The Hunt & Photo Approvals
We begin hunting for your one-of-a-kind vintage and antique anchors. As we discover prospective pieces at estate sales, auctions, and antique dealer showrooms, we send you photos, provenance notes, dimensions, and pricing for your approval before purchasing.
Why Vintage Sourcing Takes 8–12 Weeks
Unlike ordering identical mass-market furniture from a warehouse catalog, locating authentic, high-integrity vintage pieces takes patience, connoisseurship, and timing. We treat the 8–12 week sourcing timeline as an essential part of the craft, ensuring every piece in your home is extraordinary.
Receiving, Inspection & Delivery
We inspect all vintage and bespoke items for structural integrity, perform necessary conditioning or reupholstery, and store items safely in our staging warehouse until the complete room is ready for installation.
Installation & Final Room Reveal
On reveal day, our team manages everything: placing furniture, laying rugs, hanging artwork at proper gallery height, positioning lighting, and styling tabletops with vintage accents. You return home to a finished, lived-in space ready to enjoy.
